Top 10 (Not In Order)
I created this piece to represent where I was from. Before brainstorming, I had two ideas that I wanted to work with. One being an idea involving using an outline of an animal while creating an image in or around the outline. The other being an idea that involved creating, or pairing, a piece that showed my hometown. While drawing out outlines of multiple animals, I had the idea to why not just combine both ideas? I thought it would of been an amazing idea. This is how I decided to do the outline of the California grizzly bear and an image of my hometown. To create this piece I used two watercolor papers and a piece of drawing paper. I also used watercolor paint and my watercolor brushes. I didn't really use any specific techniques, but what I did do during the process was remove how dark the orange color was on some places. It was a bit difficult trying to blend in the colors with one another but in the end it all worked out.
For this project what had inspired me to make this piece was that I really wanted to make a piece that involved colors that mixed or showed well with each other. My motivation for this project was the fact that I wanted to make this project over Chinese culture. I originally wanted to draw and paint a "fu dog" but I didn't end up doing that because of the amount of work and detail I would have to put so I didn't want to spend way too much time for that. For this piece the material that I used were a pencil, acrylic paint, and 3 different paint brushes. The meaning that I tried to get across this piece was the meaning of the yin and yang. The yin and yang were drawn as the sun and moon to show their warm or cool colors and to show how well they balance with each other.
I made this piece because at the time of brainstorming I really wanted to create something that had a scary type of feeling to it since this project was based on texture. My first idea was to create this dummy because I thought it would of been easy to create the texture feel to it, but it wasn't. Anyways, what inspired me to create this piece was a painting of a dummy that seemed realistic and easy to make texture out of, so I decided to try to create my own. Materials I used to create this piece were: a pencil, a giant eraser, acrylic paint, 5 different brush, and a cap from a water bottle. I didn't really have a meaning to go with this piece, but this is something I really wanted to try to make. On the other hand, I did try to get a feeling across this piece which was a dark type of feel.
When I first started thinking of this idea, I knew I originally wanted to make a piece that involved some type of connection. By this I mean some type of connection between the model and whatever it was I were to add/make. In this case, it was my friend Martin and his connection/passion for soccer. Tools/materials that were used in order to create this piece were the application Photoshop and a camera to take photo photos. Techniques that I used for this piece was layer masking. This is how I got all of the images to show up mainly all in one. I believe that this piece to other may look simple, but it's not. It actually took quite some time, mainly because of the amount of cropping that had to be done, but there's many photos on here that all relate to the same connection, and that is his passion, what he loves doing.

This project consists of a collection of photos, including their edits, that I did for me and my friends. The purpose of these photos were for them to be shown in our graduation's slideshow of the Class of 2016. Tools and materials that were used in order to accomplish these photos are a camera, photoshop, and good natural lighting (Ex: Sunset). It was pretty easy for me to decide the variety of poses that I had my friends do and where the photos should be taken because for me it's pretty easy, or natural, to decide how the composition of each of the photos should be. I think the reason for this is because I'm always on social media, looking at many photos and poses which affects how I think photos should be taken, or at least some good ideas. The only photo that wasn't really planned was the first one in the slideshow above; it was a photo that had just happened in which the he liked very much, so I simply did the edit part for that one, adding more blue which complimented the water and his clothes.
This project had the task of creating a poster that showed information about anything of your choice. I decided to make mine over music and by representing the information on an image of a turntable. I did this project based on music because at the time I had just received an actual turntable a few days before we did this project, so I just wanted to make a poster that involved a turntable. I basically layer everything out the way an average turntable would be though of, and on the top is where I decided to show the information. The information showed in the image up above shows the top artist in digital singles, and the bars on the top show the certified units in millions across multiple artists (the bar that is the highest contains the artist that is #1).

For my last project of the semester, I really wanted to get my focus back onto photoshop. At first I didn't know what to exactly work on, so I decided to look online of amazing images that have been made or edited through photoshop. Most of what I saw that really caught my attention was how photoshop was implied through photoshop onto "models". Not those professional "models" just someone who could provide poses for the photographer. It really caught my attention, so I decided to try it out. I had my good friend Alex pose for a couple of pictures since I decided I would of like to done my photoshop ideas onto him. Out of all the finished images that I did, for some reason, I believe they're done, but at the same time they don't feel like they're complete. For most of these pictures my goal was to change the appearance of Alex and apply some type of fantasy feel onto it. I didn't want to add more images onto the background and what not since my main focus was to alter the model himself.
When I first started the brainstorming process of this project, I was struggling because I didn't know exactly what I wanted to make. I spent time on the internet trying to get ideas, spent time looking at work of other artist, but I wasn't getting any amazing ideas across my head. Since time was going by fast, I decided to just take one of my ideas of my previous work and make a new one with a different method, in this case painting. My goal was to create a piece that would pop out by the way I painted the colors. It was pretty hard to do so because when I tried to blend my colors there would either be too much white or too much blue which would throw it off. To create this piece I had to use acrylic paint, some get for my paint to be transparent, and masking tape for the straight lines at the bottom. Overall I would say that this project turned out to be somewhat successful because of how the colors came out. It does need some extra paint on some areas which I plan on applying to later on with fresh paint.
This project was about making a piece of art that is supposed to be "Dream-like" by combining many images into one. When I first heard that this project was supposed to be "Dream-like", I immediately had this idea come to my head. The moment when I had signed up for this class I already knew what type of work I would like to work on, and this was it. I don't really know what motivated me to create art that relate to this, but I just find work like this interesting. As stated up above, I created this piece through photoshop. I didn't really use any techniques, but only my imagination. While creating this piece, I was just getting more and more ideas of what to add. Overall, I really like and I'm really glad of the way this piece turned out the way it is.
Now that I'm in Advanced Art, I can finally do all my projects in a related field that I want. In this case, I already chose that I would want all my projects to be "Dream-like" just as how my first graphic design project turned out to be. The reason why I decided to make my projects "Dream-like" is because I really like how my very first photoshop turned out to be, so I decided to keep on following that "Dream-like" world of art. I really like this piece and the way it turned out to be because it looks simple but yet really good. The only technique that I used for this piece was the rule of thirds, and because of this rule the piece ended up turning out much better than what I first had in mind.
