When I first started the brainstorming process of this project, I was struggling because I didn't know exactly what I wanted to make. I spent time on the internet trying to get ideas, spent time looking at work of other artist, but I wasn't getting any amazing ideas across my head. Since time was going by fast, I decided to just take one of my ideas of my previous work and make a new one with a different method, in this case painting. My goal was to create a piece that would pop out by the way I painted the colors. It was pretty hard to do so because when I tried to blend my colors there would either be too much white or too much blue which would throw it off. To create this piece I had to use acrylic paint, some get for my paint to be transparent, and masking tape for the straight lines at the bottom. Overall I would say that this project turned out to be somewhat successful because of how the colors came out. It does need some extra paint on some areas which I would apply to later with fresh paint.

When I was first thinking of this idea for Project 2 this semester, I never really had anything that had me inspired to continue trying to make more artwork from photography. Photography is just something that I caught myself doing which turned out to be something I actually like. I didn't start with certain poses that I wanted my friend to pose, so I just had him pose however he wanted to. After I had all the photos, I just pulled up each image and just started to mess with some of them until I had an idea for a couple. For each photo, depending on their pose, I tried to edit/create a similar theme that would somewhat reflect. For example, in the photo where my friend Alex is standing in the hallway, I tried to mix a feel of darkness with a small portion of my concentration of fantasy as well.

This project consists of a collection of photos, including their edits, that I did for me and my friends. The purpose of these photos were for them to be shown in our graduation's slideshow of the Class of 2016. Tools and materials that were used in order to accomplish these photos are a camera, photoshop, and good natural lighting (Ex: Sunset). It was pretty easy for me to decide the variety of poses that I had my friends do and where the photos should be taken because for me it's pretty easy, or natural, to decide how the composition of each of the photos should be. I think the reason for this is because I'm always on social media, looking at many photos and poses which affects how I think photos should be taken, or at least some good ideas. The only photo that wasn't really planned was the first one in the slideshow above; it was a photo that had just happened in which the he liked very much, so I simply did the edit part for that one, adding more blue which complimented the water and his clothes.
When I first started thinking of this idea, I knew I originally wanted to make a piece that involved some type of connection. By this I mean some type of connection between the model and whatever it was I were to add/make. In this case, it was my friend Martin and his connection/passion for soccer. Tools/materials that were used in order to create this piece were the application Photoshop and a camera to take photo photos. Techniques that I used for this piece was layer masking. This is how I got all of the images to show up mainly all in one. I believe that this piece to other may look simple, but it's not. It actually took quite some time, mainly because of the amount of cropping that had to be done, but there's many photos on here that all relate to the same connection, and that is his passion, what he loves doing.
