For this project, the thing that inspired me to do what I did for my work was how I like to make scenery in my art. Art work that contains a lot of scenery catches my attention. What motivates me to make art is the fact that within every piece of artwork that I do, I can attach one of my own feelings towards my art work. For this piece the materials I used was a pencil, a ruler, and the paper. The feeling that I tried to get towards this piece was an idea that everyone's perspective behind life is totally different compared to others.
For this project what had inspired me to make what I did was how fascinating drawings that were made out of nothing but shapes was. What had motivated me to make this project was the desire to see what the work in the end will turn out to look like. The materials that I had used for this project was a pencil, drawing paper, and an eraser. A technique that I used throughout this project was to try to make the outlines of each shape old so it can make the shapes pop out so the viewer can see that it was made out of nothing but shapes. The meaning that I tried to get across this artwork is how this tree resembles life. They're both made out of puzzles that can be made the way you want it to create something fascinating out of it.
For this project, what had inspired me to create this was the inspiration that I had received from the artist M.C. Escher. The artwork was an image that had a lot of angles that were distorted from an angle. Tools that I used for this drawing was just a pencil and paper. Techniques that were used in this project was shading. The feeling that I was trying to get across this artwork was a dark type of feeling. The meaning behind this artwork is that you need to find the light in your life to continue on.
For this project, what had inspired me to create this was my family because I wanted to create a piece that express love for one another. I decided to create that with animals, in this case penguins, because I knew that drawing people would of been much harder. Tools that were used for this project was pencil, oil pastels, and paper. Techniques that were used was mainly just shading. The meaning that I was trying to get across this whole project was that someone will always be there for you in your life and care for you.
PAINTING
For this project what had inspired me to make this piece was that I really wanted to make a piece that involved colors that mixed or showed well with each other. My motivation for this project was the fact that I wanted to make this project over Chinese culture. I originally wanted to draw and paint a "fu dog" but I didn't end up doing that because of the amount of work and detail I would have to put so I didn't want to spend way too much time for that. For this piece the material that I used were a pencil, acrylic paint, and 3 different paint brushes. The meaning that I tried to get across this piece was the meaning of the yin and yang. The yin and yang were drawn as the sun and moon to show their warm or cool colors and to show how well they balance with each other.
I made this piece because at the time of brainstorming I really wanted to create something that had a scary type of feeling to it since this project was based on texture. My first idea was to create this dummy because I thought it would of been easy to create the texture feel to it, but it wasn't. Anyways, what inspired me to create this piece was a painting of a dummy that seemed realistic and easy to make texture out of, so I decided to try to create my own. Materials I used to create this piece were: a pencil, a giant eraser, acrylic paint, 5 different brush, and a cap from a water bottle. I didn't really have a meaning to go with this piece, but this is something I really wanted to try to make. On the other hand, I did try to get a feeling across this piece which was a dark type of feel.
Nothing really inspired me to create this piece but the only reason why I did this was because I was fascinated by other watercolor paintings that involved water in their paintings. Certain techniques were used to create the cool type of feeling of the water, it was fascinating to me and that's what I wanted to do. Materials that were used were: a pencil, watercolor paint, watercolor brushes, a watercolor tray, and salt. The technique that I tried to accomplish was the technique of a graded wash. I really tried to get a cool feel out of this piece but in my opinion, it failed.
