About Me
“The value of visual art in your life”
When it comes to visual art, I admire it. Whether it’s someone else’s piece, or maybe even my own, they catch my attention and always leave me intrigued. I’m left intrigued because every piece can have a different meaning or feeling behind it.. With a lot of pieces, I am left interested in trying to figure out what the intended meaning or feeling it. Without visual art, my life wouldn’t be the way it is now. I’m at the point where if I had free time on my hands, and not be worried about school, I wouldn’t mind making tons and tons of art because it’s really fun. Artwork is now something that I now say I love.
“Your Influences”
When I first started taking art classes during high school, I never had an artist that influenced me or that I would look up to. The only influence I had was the curiousness of knowing what I was capable of making in the world of art. The possibilities for different pieces of art are endless. Even so, not much changed year after year. Till this day, nothing had really influenced me when it came to me making art. However, it was when I started to look at other student’s work that I became influenced. I’m not influenced by their idea behind their piece, but it is the way that they show their idea in their work that influences me. They make it understandable and fascinating at the same time. It makes me delete question myself if I could ever make something similar, but better.
“Experiences that have shaped you as an artist”
Personally, the only experiences that I have encountered that have made me the artist I am today are my experiences with trial-and-error. A whole lot of trial-and-error has given me a better chance on understanding what goes well with a piece, and what doesn’t. When I first started making art, I remember I would almost never care about the purpose that I was to put behind it. All that mattered was that I tried to make it as best as I could because I believed that image was everything, but that was not true. Now, because of me learning from my mistakes, I’m understanding more and more on how image isn’t everything. It’s what the audience feel when they take that first glance that makes all the difference.
